Turn Your Challenges Into Opportunities
Belinda Shaw has a proven history in developing businesses in Australia. A Founding Director of The Tree Doctor Qld, Belinda held the Business Development Manager role between 1992 and 2000. During that time, Belinda established and became the Founding Chairman of the Australian Chapter of the International Society of Arboriculture in 1996.
In her various roles, Belinda brought international trainers and business mentors from USA for the purpose of adding value to members. Organising events in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne proved to be logistically challenging, yet successful events were the result.
Belinda’s significant achievements include successfully completing a Diploma in Business Management (predominantly High Distinctions) and in 1999 being awarded a “Management Innovation Medal” from the Australian Institute of Management. This medal was awarded for teaching competitor companies how to do better business, leading to improvements in an entire industry.
Adding to Belinda’s credibility in the Trade industries, is experience in High and Low Rise Construction in Brisbane’s CBD (Catco Developments, White Industries, Thiess Watkins & Lend Lease). Being on site to witness the first ‘tilt-up panel’ construction at Beenleigh Shopping Centre, and being the first WHS Officer for Multiplex Constructions on the Warner Brothers Movie World site was an honour.
Belinda has previously worked with High-End Home Construction and Project Housing as a Product Specifier and Colour Consultant for Spec Homes and new-home owners.
In addition, Belinda has experience with Logistics in Shipping and Trucking; Stone and Tile Showroom Management; Dulux (Trade Centre Newmarket and Major Hardware Chain) Paint Products and applications for various substrates, and colour consulting for Architects, Designers, Corporate and private home-owners.
Since then Belinda has been studying, researching and developing new techniques to promote future growth in trade based industries.
Belinda’s company runs “Tradie Talks” monthly Board of Directors meetings and business improvement workshops, including “How to Design a Rock Solid Business Plan” which targets the Top 7 Reasons Why Your Business Plan is the Key to your Future Success.
